Jio 4G Speed Hits All-Time High of 21.9Mbps, TRAI Data Shows 4a1w1x

The Jio 4G speed went from 18.4Mbps in September to 21.9Mbps in October. previous month. Their speeds stood at 9Mbps, 8.7Mbps and 8.5Mbps, respectively, in September.

As for 4G s, Idea Cellular was on top in October with 6.4Mbps average speed. It was closely followed by Vodafone at 5.9Mbps, while Jio was at a distant 4.1Mbps. Airtel brought up the rear with average 4G speed of 3.5Mbps. Idea and Vodafone saw their speeds increase marginally from 6.3Mbps and 5.8Mbps, respectively, from September. Jio 4G speed, on the other hand, showed no growth between the two months, while Airtel's went down from 4.1Mbps to 3.5Mbps.

TRAI collects and computes data speed with the help of its MySpeed application on a real-time basis. The app was launched late last year to allow the telecom regulator to monitor and publish network speeds on a monthly basis, with the data crowdsourced from s who have installed it on their phones.
