Aakash tablet-maker Datawind has been in the news for all the wrong reasons off-late. HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju recently retracting from his earlier comments, the doubters remain unconvinced, given company's previous record. Now, another one of company's tablet has surfaced online. 873u

Datawind UbiSlate 7C+ Edge has been spotted over at Snapdeal carrying a price-tag of Rs. 5,999. The 7-inch tablet sports a 800x480 resolution capacitive display and is powered by a 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor alongside 512MB of RAM. UbiSlate 7C+ Edge comes with 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable by another 32GB via microSD card.

As the name suggests, the tablet comes with 2G EDGE connectivity option alongside Wi-Fi and USB, but no 3G, GPS or Bluetooth. Voice calling is ed as well. Datawind UbiSlate 7C+ Edge is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a front-facing VGA camera. The tablet comes with a 3,200mAH battery that, as per the website, gives 4 hours of usage over Wi-Fi.

The Datawind UbiSlate 7C+ Edge will add to company's portfolio of tablets including the UbiSlate 7Ri, UbiSlate 7R+, UbiSlate 7Ci, UbiSlate 7C+, which were launched in September last year.
