Flipkart Big Billion Days: Moto G (Gen 2) LTE Pre-Orders at Rs. 8,999 493t6i

Motorola India has finally launched the Moto G (Gen 2) LTE in India, a smartphone that was first Flipkart's Big Billion Days Sale. Priced at Rs. 8,999, the Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) LTE can be pre-ordered via Flipkart's app only. 383o5q

The company has not revealed the number of units that will be up for pre-order; though it notes that the handset will be available for pre-orders till stocks last. We can expect the company to sell the Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) LTE at a higher price after the sale ends.

Motorola India back in July had Moto G (Gen 2) 16GB to Rs. 9,999, down from its launch price tag of Rs. 12,999. Motorola has not confirmed if the Rs. 8,999 price is for the 8GB or 16GB model of the Moto G (Gen 2) LTE. If the latter, Motorola will have to slash the prices of the 16GB 3G variant.

At a price of Rs. 8,999, the Moto G (Gen 2) LTE will be also launched at Rs. 7,999 in April.

The Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) LTE comes with almost similar specifications as its 3G variant except of 4G. It features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3; 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor; 1GB of RAM; Adreno 305 GPU; runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat; 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera; 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2390mAh battery.

To compare, the Moto E (Gen 2) 4G features a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC (with Adreno 306) coupled with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Upfront, it includes a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display with a pixel density of 245ppi; Corning Gorilla Glass 3; 5-megapixel rear camera; a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front facing camera; 8GB of built-in storage; expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB), and a 2390mAh battery.
