The Android 4.4 KitKat update will bring several new features and UI changes to the Xolo Q1200. The list of changes includes new lock screen art, new email app, redesigned dialer, refreshed camera UI with minimalistic controls and new modes including burst mode, Panorama and Live multi-view, feature to search for s directly from the dial pad, and more.
The firm adds that the smartphone needs the S016 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean installed in order to proceed with S015 Android 4.4 KitKat update process. The files necessary for the manual installation of the update as well as instructions on how to go about the update can be ed from the company's Xolo Care website. We recommend you backup your phone's data before proceeding with the update.
Launched last year in June, Xolo Q1200 was the first handset under the company's Q-series of devices that came with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Some of the other specifications of the handset are 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display; 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor; 1GB of RAM; 8GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB); 8-megapixel rear camera; 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2000mAh Li-ion battery.
