Microsoft has finally started reducing the free storage it offers OneDrive s from 15GB to 5GB. In addition to this, the company has also taken away the bonus storage it gave away for camera roll backup. If your OneDrive has not yet reflected the change, it might very soon look different.
The Redmond-based company had first announced last year that it will reduce the free storage available on OneDrive but faced a severe backlash from its s. As a result, the company had to apologise to its customers and said that those who opt-in to keep the 15GB free storage and the bonus camera roll storage before January 31 would be allowed to keep them.
In April, the company sent out an email stating that the change will take place by July 27 this year. It also advised that it will be better for s to shift their important data elsewhere before the provided date.
Microsoft has already started applying the 5GB free storage limit on new s.
Another option available for s who are dejected by OneDrive's reduction is iOS that allowed s to multiple photos and videos at once instead of selecting individual pictures and saving them one-by-one. The company fixes some issues and also added 'shake to send' feature with the update.
