Based on William Shakespeare's Macbeth, but set in Mumbai, the lord of the criminal underworld Jahangir Khan (Pankaj Kapoor) is a powerful man of the city. His loyal and right-hand man, Miyan Maqbool (Irfan Khan), is in love with Nimmi (Tabu), Jahangir's mistress. 74f1d

Nimmi convinces Maqbool to be ambitious and take over Jahangir's empire to rule the underworld. He slowly manoeuvres potential rivals out of the way, and betrays Jahangir and kills him in his own bed.

However, Maqbool and Nimmi are haunted by the ghosts of their unfaithful acts.
