With IFA 2014 just around the corner, Asus has started sending invites for a pre-IFA event on September 3, teasing what appears to be a smartwatch.

Since announced in March this year, it very likely that the company might debut its first smartwatch product from the partnership at the pre-IFA event.
The expected unveiling of a smartwatch ties-in with a report in June that indicated Asus is working on a smartwatch running Android Wear that will be launched in September. Techcrunch, citing sources familiar with Asus' plans, had claimed that the Taiwanese giant will launch an Android Wear smartwatch at a price point targeted to be below the LG G Watch (Rs. 14,999) and Samsung Gear Live (Rs. 15,900).
The report had also suggested that the unnamed Asus wearable device will pack an AMOLED display and can be priced between $99 (roughly Rs. 6,000) and $149 (roughly Rs. 9,000) at launch.
The rumour goes further back to earlier in March, before the Android Wear unveiling, when Asus was said to be
announced its plans to enter the wearable segment in November last year.
