Xolo Play 8X-1000 Smartphone With New Hive UI to Launch on August 6 106732

Xolo has been teasing its Android smartphone interface (UI), called Hive, for some time now. The new UI is now finally nearing fruition, as the company on Friday has sent official invitations for an event scheduled on August 6.

Unfortunately, the press invite does not reveal any details about the Play 8X-1000 smartphone, and instead majorly focuses on the company's much-touted Hive UI. 4965

earlier this week, had confirmed that its first smartphone to sport the new Hive UI, the Xolo Play 8X-1000, would be unveiled in the first week of August.

The company also teased features of the Hive UI. Some of the features touted on the official site for the new UI include a new launcher, themes, media centre, lock screen and chameleon widget, and a new forum post called Connect.

Notably, Xolo had been promoting its Hive UI with a dedicated page that came with taglines such as "And right now there's something different brewing at Xolo. Stay curious," "Soon you will too. The revolution has begun," and "A revolution is in the works. Stay tuned."

Recently, the company Xolo Q900s, priced at Rs. 9,999.
