Xiaomi has once again enjoyed success with its latest flash sale of the Redmi 1S in India.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that 30,000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S that were up for purchase in the 5pm IST flash sale on Tuesday went out of stock in just 5 seconds on Flipkart, the firm's exclusive retail partner in India. Notably, this was the third time in India that 50,000 Redmi 1S smartphones going out of stock in just 11 seconds. The flash sale before that saw 20,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S units going out of stock in just 4 seconds.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G flash sale at 2pm IST on Tuesday saw 60,000 units going up for grabs. Xiaomi however did not reveal the exact amount of time taken for the Redmi Note 4G going out of stock, something the company rarely misses publicising - indicating the speed of Tuesday's sale wasn't worth boasting about.
The Flipkart page for Mi handsets notes that next flash sales for the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G will once again be held on the same day, January 27, and that registrations for the sales begin at 6pm IST on Tuesday. The page also notes that s will have to separately for each of the two smartphones.
As before, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be available via Flipkart at Rs. 5,999, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will be available at Rs. 9,999, and registrations for both the smartphones that make consumers eligible to participate in the sale will end at midnight on Monday.
