Samsung India has confirmed that it will refund consumers who bought the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones outside the country. However, they will need to initiate the refund process before November 1. 1w68g
"Consumers who have purchased Galaxy Note 7 from overseas are eligible for refund. They need to bring the invoice to the nearest service centre and get a refund basis the invoice value. The validity of the same is November 1 2016," said a Samsung India spokesperson in an emailed statement to Gadgets 360.

To recall, Samsung India announced the a bunch of freebies.
Samsung last week announced that it was suspending all production of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone as the company was unable to fix the issue that was causing fires. The company has advised all Galaxy Note 7 s with either an original or replacement unit to power down and stop using the device immediately.
Samsung across various markets is allowing Galaxy Note 7 customers to apply for a full refund or to switch their units for other Samsung handsets.
Samsung is also helping completely banned on flights by various airlines and aviation regulators including in India and the US.
