OnePlus 2 s are now receiving the OxygenOS 3.5.6 update over-the-air (OTA). The company has said that it is an "incremental rollout", hence s will receive the update in phases over the next few days. This update claims to fix the 'persistent network drops' that s complained about.
Major chunk of complaints were from owners on Airtel or Reliance Jio networks in India. The issue only cropped up once the owner started using mobile data, but on Wi-Fi the device performed normally. We recommend that you update your device through a strong Wi-Fi connection and have sufficient battery on your smartphone.
The company has also OnePlus 3T s worldwide. The Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 update is being pushed out over-the-air and will reach all s over the coming days. The company is again calling it an "incremental rollout", implying that it will roll out in batches, and only a few s will receive it on the first day, while others should receive it over the course of the next few days. Alongside, OnePlus has also announced the release of Open Beta 1 for OnePlus 3T s.
