JerryRigEverything started off with the scratch test, which the Nokia 5 survived for quite some time after finally succumbing to scratches on level 6 of the Moch scale. He even went on to test the home button (made out of glass) and the front camera, both of which survived the test.

Moving on to the burn test, the Nokia 5 was subject to a flame that burned its display after 10 seconds of exposure. This result was achieved when the screen had maximum brightness.

The Nokia 5 ed the bend test, with flying colours, reaffirming Nokia's focus on hardware durability even after HMD Global acquired the smartphone brand last year. The YouTube channel has previously performed similar durability tests for the Nokia 3, Nokia 3310.

The smartphone is based on a stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat and a beta build for Android 8.0 Oreo was recently rolled out.
