Motorola has started rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to its Moto X Play smartphone in India. Notably,

The new update comes bundled with Google's monthly security update - Android security update for March - as well as adds Unicode 8.0 emoji . The update for the Moto X Play also brings camera shutter tone switch. 69442b
The new update is now available over-the-air (OTA), though Moto X Play s can manually check for updates by going to the Settings app of the smartphone, and navigating to About Phone > System Updates. The update weighs roughly 388MB, so we recommend s to switch to Wi-Fi before ing the OS update.

Motorola, apart from regular Marshmallow features, introduced some Moto-specific changes that s saw after updating to the new Android OS version. Some changes to Moto enhancements include removal of Moto Assist feature as part of Android M.
