Jio Phone 2 is all set to be up for grabs for the fourth time since launch, in its next flash sale slated for 12pm IST on September 12 on the company's official website Jio.com. As was the case with previous three flash sales, the Jio Phone 2 is expected to go out of stock soon with buyers rushing to get their hands on a unit in the sale. It is thus recommended to open Jio.com a few minutes before the 12pm sale and keeping on checking the Jio Phone 2 listing to ensure that it does not sell out before you get one. Key highlights of the Jio Phone 2 include a physical QWERTY keyboard, a wider display than the first generation, and dual SIM .
To note, the second Jio Phone 2 flash sale was held two weeks after the first, with the third held a week after. It appears held on September 6.
Jio Phone 2 price in India is set at Rs. 2,999. This is double that of last year's Jio Phone that came with a price tag of Rs. 1,500, which was a refundable security deposit. As part of the fourth flash sale, a limited number of units will be available and buyers are estimated to get their handsets within 5 to 7 business days of the order.
For the Jio Phone 2, s can choose between three different recharges. The Rs. 49 prepaid pack offers s with unlimited voice calling and 1GB of 4G data for the entire month. The Rs. 99 pack comes with unlimited calling, 300 SMS messages, and 0.5GB 4G data per day for a period of 28 days. And, lastly, the Rs. 153 prepaid pack gives s all the above stated call and SMS benefits along with 1.5GB 4G data per day.
As for its specifications, the Jio Phone 2 runs KaiOS, and sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The 4G feature phone comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). There is a 2-megapixel camera sensor on the back as well as front of the handset. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and FM radio, and is backed by a 2,000mAh battery under the hood. There is a dedicated physical button to trigger Google Assistant.
