“With both the advancements that Sony and Microsoft have made to their platforms, we're super-eager to in whatever way we can. We take kind of a wait and see approach. Our engine team loves doing things like ing. Any time we can make the game look better, they like ing it. Obviously we're ing 4K on PC already, so it's something the game is capable of doing,” said Overwatch Director Jeff Kaplan to IBTimes UK. Although he went on to state that there could be some impediments to this.

“As long as we don't break the game in some other way, or incur some technical cost that is prohibitive, we would obviously try to go along with the advancements, and be very ive of advancements on all of our platforms,” continued Kaplan.

Considering that Overwatch’s PS4 Pro is nothing more than its UI and menus in 4K, it’s quite possible that Blizzard is simply paying lip service to the notion of a better looking and performing version of Overwatch on Xbox Scorpio.

Nonetheless, with an Xbox Scorpio reveal rumoured to have the likes of CD Projekt RED with The Witcher 3, you can’t rule out Blizzard’s for Microsoft’s Xbox One iteration just yet.
