The UberX limited period offer is being said to cost the the same amount charged by an auto-rickshaw. "(Drum-rolls, please!) We just dropped our fares by 25 percent for a limited duration, making Uber almost as cheap as auto-rickshaw fares. In fact, if you use the fare-split feature with a friend or colleague, it's cheaper than auto-rickshaw!," states the company's blog post for New Delhi.
The 25 percent fare cut is available on both UberBlack and UberX services across New Delhi.
