Truecaller for Android has received a new update that will enable s to identify any mobile number on the smartphone without opening the app.

Called Truecaller Auto-Search, the feature lets Android app s identify an unknown number by just copying it - associated information will then be automatically searched for, and a notification will be displayed to the . The company claims that s can 'auto-search' for an unknown number seen on a website, mail or even message by just copying the number. 4t585x

Essentially, the Truecaller app now checks whenever a number is copied onto the Android smartphone's clipboard, from any app, such as Gmail, Messaging, or a Web browser.

Announcing the new update, Truecaller said on its blog, "Identifying a number has never been so fast, and frictionless. Android s now can be browsing anywhere on their phone, copy a phone number, and Truecaller will instantly try to identify the number and give easy access to calling or texting."

The updated Truecaller app for Android is now available for and brings other new features such as the addition of Nepalese language , as well as bug fixes and general speed improvements. With the new update, s can tap on the search box of the app to search for s in the phonebook or in Truecaller. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed when the Auto-Search feature will be rolling out to iOS s.

Truecaller earlier this month revamped its crossed the 100 million milestone, with the company claiming that it had doubled daily new s in less than 3 months.
