But it has been months since the announcement and Prime Video app is still nowhere to be found. According to a on Reddit, who goes by alias "AmazonVideoEngineer", the company is on track to release Prime Video app for Apple TV on October 26.
In another post two weeks ago, the same had noted that Amazon long finished building the app, but "a lot of politics" between the two companies had been the reason for the delay.
The two companies have shared an interesting past. Two years ago, Amazon stopped selling Apple TV (as well as Google's Chromecast) on its e-commerce platform in a move that it said would help avoid "confusion" among customers.
According to estimates from analytics firms, Amazon Prime Video has a larger catalogue than Netflix does. The absence of Prime Video on Apple TV so far has been one of the top complaints from customers.
